Pemangku Upacara Adat Gubug Gedhe

The Gubug Gedhe Rasulan Ceremony is held once a year. The holding of the traditional Rasulan ceremony is held on Pahing Sunday at Gubug Gedhe, Ngalang Kapanewon Gedangsari Village, which is attended by all members of the community. The main activities are wilujengan with special packaging, cultural carnivals, art performances and exhibitions of local potential, both culinary, handicrafts, industry and various competitions which are held for 7 days. As a form of gratitude, the Gubug Gedhe Rasulan ceremony, which was passed down by the ancestors, has the aim of reviving, cultivating and re-embracing a sense of unity and integrity in which all the hamlets in Ngalang Village are involved in this Rasulan traditional ceremony. This traditional ceremony has differences between traditional ceremonies in general. The difference is that 35 days before the implementation of the traditional ceremony, the activity carried out by the community is to jointly build a hut with a roof in the form of blarak (coconut leaves/gedepe) the number of which is more than 5000 gedepe sent from all citizens. After Gedepe arrived at the hut, they were installed together, then used as a place for the traditional Rasulan ceremony, and the place has never been moved until now. It is said that Eyang Meles and his two sons, Eyang Kopek and Eyang Kalangboyo, were proud and grateful to see the residents' abundant crops, and wanted to give thanks to God Almighty but asked for Tayub art entertainment. But there was no place to organize it, so it was agreed to build a large hut over a large expanse of land. Because the hut was quite large, it was called the Gedhe Hut until now. So every traditional ceremony of the art of Rasulullah is obligatory is tayub.

The implementation of the Gubug Gedhe Rasulan traditional ceremony coincides with Pahing Sunday starting with the gunungan parade, departing at around 09.00 from the Ngalang village hall to Gedhe Gubug about 2 km. The Kirab was led directly by the Lurah accompanied by the Chairperson of the BPD and LPMD followed by all pamong and village institutions as well as community representatives from 15 Padukuhan bringing gunungan according to the superior potential of each Padukuhan. After arriving at the traditional ceremony site, the gunungan and uborampe were handed over from the Pandega Bregada to the Lurah, followed by a welcome greeting, the Regent's remarks, a brief history of the gedhe hut rasulan traditional ceremony followed by a wilujengan feast which begins with a vow reading and a prayer. Delivering the invited guests together with the community to enjoy eating slang, playing PKK musical entertainment, continued with Tayuban, until the event was over, and in the evening a shadow puppet performance was held at the village hall, while at Gubug Gedhe, culinary exhibitions were held, crafts and other potentials. hundreds of years by residents and until now still sustainable. Its main purpose is as a form of thanksgiving to God Almighty, because the agricultural land left by the ancestors has been able to support the people of the community to this day. In order to remain sustainable, the implementation is managed by traditional stakeholders and cultural village managers who are now led by Kunto Wibowo. ***
