CB Supriyanto is the Chairperson of the Cultural Council of Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Istirnewa Province in the 2015-2019 period and the 2020-2024 period. The man who was born in Gunungkidul, January 31, 1955, has been involved in various organizations and jobs in the Gunungkidul area since his youth. Dozens of awards and achievements given by various institutions at the local, regional and national levels actually show CB Supriyanto's commitment and concern for various management and development of life for the common good at various levels.
The man whose address is Jalan Brigjen Katamso 13 Wonosari, Gunungkidul has a simple appearance, is humble and modest in his daily life. Various joint activities during their retirement period are carried out sincerely and in fact provide a broad understanding of the essence of shared life through cultural corridors. According to CB Supriyanto, culture is capable of being a unifying medium without discriminating against ethnicity, religion, race, and various other differences.
For CB Supriyanto, culture is an entry point in efforts to embrace, ngopeni (guard), manage and package traditional ceremonies, such as cleaning the village/hamlet so that these traditional ceremonies can become an integral part of the development of life. Thus togetherness, harmony, and concern for shared life can continue to be sustainable and preserved. This concern for others and for the universe is supported by CB Supriyanto's vision and mission regarding this life through cultural corridors, such as culture being the glue that binds people together now and in the future. An understanding of culture as a whole relatively evokes the intention to maintain, develop and utilize culture in the realm of preservation in accordance with the dynamics of life.
CB Supriyanto hopes that cultural activities do not need to be opposed but are supported and implemented in people's lives. Culture is full of noble values and mutual respect as mandated in the 1945 Constitution. The government is expected to be able to create regulations so as to be able to prevent the noble values contained therein from extinction, so that the government can facilitate and utilize culture as an approach to development and life. social. In the end, culture will be able to color attitudes and behavior in people's lives in accordance with the nation's cultural values.
Some of the works produced by CB Supriyanto in achieving the vision, mission and hopes for future life are by (a) composing/composing a number of folklore texts (myths/legends) in Gunungkidul Regency and its surroundings; (b) compiling and packaging guidelines/guidelines for village/apostle clean traditional ceremonial procedures so that the implementation of these traditional ceremonies is better, more attractive, and remains sacred; (c) packing traditional ceremonies using the Javanese language and by providing polish/additional handing over of gunungan septa kenduri wilujengan (congratulations) in a number of villages/padukuhan as one of the efforts to preserve the implementation of traditional ceremonies; (al) formulating and compiling the organizational/management structure of the Culture Council at the Kapanewon level as well as forming administrators for the 18 Kapanewon in Gunungkidul; and (e) formulating and compiling an organizational/management structure as a guideline for the formation of cultural village pilot committees and the formation of cultural preservation committees in cultural enclave villages.
CB Supriyanto's actions are unique, especially the incision of his thoughts in works which are integrated through the application of these ideas in the reality of life. CB Supriyanto tries to embrace ideas about caring for others so that they can be realized in real life.
